The logic-mathematic, engineering, structured, rational mindset has achieved many things in the scientific and technological areas.
To the point of falling in love with its own brilliance.
Enamored with these victories, it has convinced itself that this is what intelligence looks like. And as it is its custom, it has done what it does best. It has created metrics, tests and methods, convincing itself about its own righteousness.
An intelligent being shouldn’t be surprised about that. Because it doesn’t expect that a lion behaves like a tree.
Moreover, an intelligent being doesn’t allow anyone or anything to convince that this reductionist definition is what intelligence looks like. Not even to our inner voice, to the one that wants to be special and be right, its biggest promoter.
An intelligent being observes and understands the limits of everything he or she does, & keeps learning to deal with it.
